Fred Abong is also a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Getting his musical start in the 1980s as the bassist for Throwing Muses and Belly, he also earned a PhD in Humanities and serves as a professor. He has been practicing Vedic Astrology and Western Astrology for more than 20 years.
